Commercial property in New Zealand is the most highly regarded and expensive in terms of property investing. This type of property has a tendency to be expensive due to the low yields and higher securityit offers the investor.

Smaller office buildings on the outskirts of the city can make great investment opportunities starting at around $600,000. However large scale buildings with Accountants and Lawyers as tenants make for the most solid investments in Commercial property.

Yields on this type of property are usually low (4-7%) due to popularity from seasoned investors and are generally hard to finance unless you have a substantial portfolio and are on very good terms with your bank manager.

If you are looking at investing in Commercial property make sure you do due diligence on your choice as compromising on quality can cost you everything.
